Depay joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and is nearing the end of his contract. Despite an impressive 2021-2022 season with 12 goals and 3 assists, Depay has struggled this season, scoring just once in two appearances in La liga.
In contrast, Joaquin Correa has had a solid 2021-2022 season with 6 goals and 2 assists in 36 games and in 2022-2023 he scored 3 goals and 3 assists in 21 games.
This swap deal would bring fresh blood to the Barcelona squad, as well as a new dynamic to the Inter Milan team. The clubs have yet to confirm the deal, but it is expected to be announced in the coming days.
