Gerrard Romero is known for his credibility in breaking news regarding transfers, having been the first to report on Raphinha and Jules Kunde’s moves to Barcelona, both of which were heavily rumoured to be headed to Chelsea.

Depay joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and is nearing the end of his contract. Despite an impressive 2021-2022 season with 12 goals and 3 assists, Depay has struggled this season, scoring just once in two appearances in La liga.

In contrast, Joaquin Correa has had a solid 2021-2022 season with 6 goals and 2 assists in 36 games and in 2022-2023 he scored 3 goals and 3 assists in 21 games.

This swap deal would bring fresh blood to the Barcelona squad, as well as a new dynamic to the Inter Milan team. The clubs have yet to confirm the deal, but it is expected to be announced in the coming days.
