Romeu is reportedly pleased with the proposal from Barca and is ready to accept it. The player’s agreement is not expected to pose a problem. Hence Barcelona’s primary focus now is reaching an agreement with Girona regarding the transfer.

Romeu currently has a release clause of €10 million in his contract. FC Barcelona are aiming to reduce that valuation, possibly by half, by including a young player in the deal. Young Estanis Pedrola, could potentially be part of the negotiations. The youngster is highly regarded at Montilivi and is likely to leave Barcelona this summer. Although there has been nothing concrete as of yet.
