Despite the uncertainty over his future with PSG, Messi has been performing well this season. With 18 goals and 17 assists in 31 games across all competitions. However, PSG is reeling from another early exit from the Champions League. Losing against Bayern Munich in the RO16 with both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe disappointing in the away leg.

PSG Supporters on Lionel Messi

It is thought that PSG supporters’ frustrations stem from the club’s flawed project. Recruiting big-name stars, which don’t fit the team. Which they believe have led to their recent European failures. Additionally, the club may struggle to shift an exorbitantly paid front line. Although head coach Christophe Galtier believes Messi, in particular, won’t be going anywhere.
