PSG fans Condemned for Violent action

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has issued a strong statement condemning the actions of a group of supporters who gathered outside the home of Neymar and chanted for him to leave the club. This incident occurred after a tumultuous week for the Ligue 1 team. A week where they saw the points at the top shrink and problems with their star player Lionel Messi. Messi was suspended over an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia.

Videos posted on social media showed fans chanting for the club’s board to resign outside their headquarters. Subsequently, a group of supporters visited Neymar’s home and called for him to move on. PSG released a statement expressing their disapproval of the actions of the small group of individuals and offering their support to their players and staff.

“The intolerable and insulting actions of a small group of individuals that took place on Wednesday are most strongly condemned by Paris Saint-Germain,” the statement read. “Whatever the differences of opinion, nothing justifies such actions. The club gives its full support to its players, its staff, and all those targeted by such shameful behavior.”

Lionel Messi, who will leave PSG at the end of the season after two years with the club, was also reportedly the target of frustration among some fans. Who have recently jeered him during home matches. Messi had joined the French team in 2021 after spending his entire professional career at Barcelona.
