Sergio Busquets recieves a transfer offer from Al Nassr

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr has approached Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets over a possible transfer in the summer.

Speculation surrounding Sergio Busquets’ future has arisen due to his contract with Barcelona set to expire in five months. While Barça manager Xavi Hernandez is keen to keep hold of the midfielder for at least another season, the club has yet to table an offer to the player.

Reports suggest that Al Nassr have made a move for Busquets and offered him a lucrative contract worth €18 million per season. The Saudi Arabian outfit is looking to pair him up with former rival and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Busquets is also being pursued by MLS clubs, including Inter Miami, who have been interested in the midfielder for months now.

Busquets’ future is likely to be decided only after he receives a contract offer from Barcelona, who needs to make the offer. Once he assesses his options, the former Spanish international will decide on his next move.

It’s unclear whether Busquets will choose to continue his career at Camp Nou or opt for a new adventure in the Middle East or the USA.
