Sofyan Amrabat wants a FC Barcelona Transfer

Fiorentina is reportedly open to offers for their midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer, according to the player’s agent, Mohamed Sinouh. The 26-year-old Moroccan international has become a much more prominent figure after leading his country to the semi-finals of the World Cup last year. After growing in stature, he declined a contract extension offer from La Viola in the winter and received multiple offers since. With Barcelona making a loan approach on the deadline day of the January transfer window. However, Fiorentina turned down the offer, and Amrabat remained with the Italian club.

But now, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2024. Fiorentina will be keen to cash in on him this summer instead of losing him for free at the end of his contract. “For now, we don’t have any offer for the summer, but now at least Fiorentina is willing to listen,” said Amrabat’s agent.

Manchester United also enquired about Amrabat earlier this year, while Atletico Madrid is keeping tabs on his situation. However, Amrabat still dreams of playing for Barcelona. Despite the Catalan giants not being in a great financial position to afford his signing. Fiorentina could ask for around €40 million. But Barcelona’s budget for the summer transfer window is still unclear. As the club have been held back by La Liga’s FFP regulations.

Conclusion

Amrabat has been instrumental in Fiorentina’s stellar run over the last couple of months. Having gone unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions. His style of play has caught the eye of Atletico Madrid’s manager, Diego Simeone, who is reportedly an admirer of the midfielder. It remains to be seen which club will make a move for Amrabat this summer, but it’s clear that he will be one of the most sought-after midfielders in the transfer market.
