Joao Felix, stationed in his preferred left-wing position, opened the scoring in the first half, setting the tone for Barcelona’s commanding victory. Joao Cancelo, playing as a right-back, sealed the win with a goal late in the match. In between, Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, and Raphinha all found the net.

Xavi praised the qualities of these two talented footballers, emphasizing their individual brilliance. “We are talking about two footballers who, at the level of individual quality, are beyond doubt. You watch them train, and you see their greatness,” Xavi stated.

He further noted their adaptability and the positive impact they bring to the team. Cancelo, who previously played under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, seamlessly integrated into Barcelona’s style. Joao Felix, on the other hand, demonstrated his versatility, excelling in his favored role on the left wing.

“I see them happy, eager to help the team. They are both where they want to be. They play with joy and have made a difference for the team. Their individual quality is very good, and they raise the quality of the team,” Xavi added.

Barcelona’s impressive performance has catapulted them to the top of La Liga, although they will keep an eye on Real Madrid’s weekend match. The team now shifts its focus to the Champions League, with Royal Antwerp visiting the Lluis Companys Stadium in Montjuic. Barcelona aims to progress from the group stage, aiming for a strong European campaign after a couple of challenging years.

The arrival of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix has injected new energy and quality into the Barcelona squad, leaving fans hopeful for a successful season ahead.
